Dice Popper App

After a few months in the making my first app is now available on the App Store.

Dice popper combines realistic 3D dice rolling motions with great sound effects and a beautifully designed interface, this unique dice rolling app allows you to relive those childhood game memories!

It’s been a lot of fun to make, and I’ve learnt loads along the way – which was actually one of the big initial reasons for doing it. I’m now looking forward to moving on to some other App ideas, along with obviously looking at how Dice Popper can be improved as well!

In the coming days I’ll write another more detailed post on the process of developing the app and share a few of the things I’ve learnt along the way.

New site live

At long last the new website is up and running – just in time for Christmas!

After a far too long period of having everything from an out of date site, to a holding page to using homepage builders such as flavors.me, it’s long overdue. It’s time to practice what you preach as they say. The intention is to keep a record of the latest projects completed, along with links, articles and viewpoints on anything particularly noteworthy in the digital world and further a field.

Al Ain Aerobatic Show

Project:
Launch of the website for the 2011 Al Ain Aerobatic Show – the leading consumer air show in the Middle East region. The website needed to contain in depth information on the show, whilst communicating the excitement and varied events on offer.

Project role:
Responsible for the architecture, wireframes and overall design of the website, whilst working at renowned Dubai based agency The Tribe.

Flip Flop Arabia

Project:
Web presence of Flip Flop Arabia, a distributor of sports & leisure brands. The website had to be easy to update, flexible for future expansion into further brands and feature the full product catalogues of the brands they currently represent.

Project role:
Responsible for the scoping, design and development of the site. The site was developed on the WordPress platform.

Zayed National Museum

Project:
Launch of the website for the Zayed National Museum. The museum was launched by HM the Queen, whilst on her visit to Abu Dhabi. It will become the centre of the new cultural district, telling the story of Sheikh Zayed and the United Arab Emirates. The museum was designed by Lord Foster.

Project role:
Responsible for the architecture, wireframes and overall design of the website, whilst working at renowned Dubai based agency The Tribe.

LeijonstedtArt of the book

Personal website of Mia Leijonstedt, an internationally renowned book artist. The site both showcases her work and provides information by a blog.

bq, is an eyewear brand inspired from the local UAE culture. The website showcases the product with 360 degree interaction, and giving users the ability to virtually try on the glasses. Once trying on the glasses they can share their image on Facebook, Twitter or simply share with a friend on email.

Role
Overall concept, architecture and design of the website including managing the technical development of the project.
